Living in Washington State
Emailing and blogging are so big now, I thought I would jump on the ban wagon and join in.
Last June, Chad got a job that brought him up here to Bellevue WA. We were told it was a 2 year job, so of course we decided it would be a lot better to bring the whole family instead of Chad traveling back and forth. The family came around the 1st of July. We came with our car packed and that was it. We thought we would only be a couple of weeks then we could go back home and bring the rest of our stuff. Well, the company kept on putting us off, so we ended up living in the tiny 3 bedroom apartment, without any furniture, on the 3rd floor, in the bad part of town for over a month. I can honestly say that it was the worst month of my life. I was on the computer everyday looking for houses to rent. We finally found one. We moved in still without any furniture. But it was so much better then the apartment. It was on 2 acres, and a pool, which was very lucky to. Chad still wasn't getting permission to leave the job so we could pack up our Utah house. The week before school started, I told Chad that I was going without him. So I packed up the kids, drove 14 hours back to Utah and started packing up our house. Chad was able to fly home on Friday, helped load the truck on Saturday, and then we all drove back on Sunday. So, that was the beginning of our stay here in WA.
We have had a lot of good things happen as well. We have seen a lot of sights around here like, Seattle Center, Parks all around the Puget Sound, and other parks around lakes. It is a very beautiful state. I guess the beauty comes with a price. (RAIN) It has rained a ton this winter season. It gets pretty dreary day after day. I am just waiting for it to be good weather again, so I can see more of the sights, and go play. I am also anxious to get to the coast to show the kids the ocean.
