More Drama

It seems like all of my stories I post are negative things that have happened to us. Well.....3 out of 6 are. But there 'is' something that happened the other day to my baby and I'm not even going to share that! If you are curious, you will have to ask me in person.

......Today's adventure, started out with a toy bin (with a broken corner) coming in contact with Korban's cheek. Traven came in holding him, saying he was bleeding. I could tell right away it needed a Dr.
Luckily, the kids hadn't left for school yet. So I told Mishae to stay home with the baby, while I took Korban to the Dr.
After Dr. B checked it out, he gave me 2 options. To just numb his cheek and stitch it up right there in the office, or go to the hospital and put him under. Dr. B and I thought it would be best to just stitch it up in the office. Well... let me tell you....my little Korban is the strongest little 3 year old I have ever met. It took 3 adults to get him strapped down to the 'papoose' board. He kicked so hard and turned and twisted. He gave us a good workout. I chuckled at one moment, because he was so determined to not be strapped down. But then I did shed some tears, because it is just so dang sad to see him helpless like that. The Dr. had to give him a shot on the inside of his mouth and on the outside. In the second picture, you can see under the one eye is where the shot was. It left his whole side of the face droopy and numb. And it is also very swollen. After being in the Docs office for almost 3 hours, it was finally over. Korban ended up with 2 stitches on the outside of his cheek, and 1 stitch on the inside, which also got cut from the teeth. He is a trooper though. He is already playing and jumping around the house. (why don't kids learn?)

The top picture is a few hours after we had been home. The bottom picture is right after we got home from the Doctors. Poor little guy!!

Aaah! I am SO lucky to not have had to go through something like that yet. Glad he's ok though!

Poor thing. That's too bad. If you are ever stuck like that again and need someone to watch your kids, you can call and see if I'm home. I only have class a couple days a week.

Poor Korban! That looks like it hurts. You guys are troopers for getting through a crazy day.

Hey, I saw your comment on my picture. The darkened edges are from an action that I bought - they vignette the edges for me. You can also do it on your own in photoshop.

I was also going to tell you that if you comment on other people's pictures they will likely comment on yours - or at least the chances go up. That's how I get comments on mine usually - by commenting on pictures I like, adding people as contacts, adding tags, and adding my pictures to groups.
