A tribute to my mom

For mother's day this year, I wanted to get my mom something special. I thought of flowers, but it cost more to send, then the price for them. I thought of those Buxton bags, because my mom likes a good bag. But it wouldn't have gotten to her on time. I was thinking maybe I could fly her here, but the prices of tickets are crazy and she already made plans with other family members. So what could I do? Well, I was reading my friends blog and her and her husband both made tributes to their mothers. So, I am being a HUGE copy cat.

My MOM....
..... has always been there for me, through thick and thin.
When I'm happy, or sad, she is still wearing her grin.
She was the one, who gave me my first doll.
She was the one, who wiped my tears when I fall.
My mom was there, when I had my first child.
Now, with six, she is there when it's wild.

She supports all her children, with everything we do.
She keeps us together, she is the glue. My mom, is grandma, to thirty-two kids.
She'll cuddle and hold them, 'til they close their eyelids.
She will get on their level, and tell them a story.
They know when they're with her, there's no need to worry.

My moms children, are now cross the country.
She travels to see us, and hugs us, oh so gently.

Even though I have a family of my own.
You're still my mommy, thank goodness for the phone.
Mom, Thanks for everything you do. You're the best and I love you to pieces.

Thanks you for this idea Tina.

Thank you so much for the tribute. I am glad you were thinking of me. I love you, too. Mom

I love you too Marilyn, you were like my second family growing up, and so fun to be around. Thanks for being such a great example - you are so fun with your family!

P.S. ML- don't give me any credit for this idea. You did such a great job, and you are great with expressing your feelings with poetry! This was way better then flowers!
