We LOVE the 24th of July in Bear River. Even though we haven't lived there for 2 years, we still try to make it out. Of course, the day always starts out with a cute little parade. It's actually getting a little bigger. There are a few floats now. The two little boys were going to be in it, but our lawn tractor wouldn't start. So they got to gather candy instead and shove as much as they could into their pockets.
After the parade, there are activities at the park. Fishing, races, talent show, auction, and of course mutton bustin. This year, Ashlin was the only one that rode. She was the girl who rode in a skirt and flip flops. What a tough girl!
At the end of the day, there is always a dance. Korban had a long day and was very tired and definately ready for bed. Kaylor was so funny to watch. He would stick his tongue out and then stick his bum out and shake it. Usually Chad and I get a few swing dances in, but this year, we didn't get a chance. Kaylor wanted to dance in between us. "Funny, he sleeps in between us too!" Is he the baby of the family???
We will continue to go to these small town shin-digs as long as we can. "Great Memories!"
