The first time out sledding this year was wonderful. The kids all had a great time! Kaylor wouldn't even let go of the sled when it was time to go. He was having so much fun going down by himself! And we had No injuries, no Tears! Chad and the kids had made a dog sled that we had to try out. I was scared at first, but it worked so well. Now we just have to get the dog hooked up to it!
The second time out sledding started out fun, but it was really cold and the snow was packed and icy. Then we ended up with 2 bloody lips. I took great video clips of our accidents, and so I took snapshots from the video to document it. Here is Kaylors run down the hill. In the first picture, he was saying WHEEEE! As you can see, he didn't end up saying that! It was actually hard to get him to go down again. But he did it!. (By the way....we didn't see that there was a jump when he started, or we would have scooted him over.)
Ashlin, on the other hand, knew that there was a jump. She had already done this jump once and wanted me to take a video of her doing it again. Well.....I got it! She came down right on her face, and hard! Her cut was actually ALOT worse then Kaylors. She still has a fat lip! (2 days later) And she had to give a talk in Primary the day after. We left after Ashlin got hurt!
