If any of you are like me, I have made a ton of different job charts. Some have worked really well for a while, but others haven’t at all. They eventually all dwindle down to nothing. Well, I found this website that I think is pretty cool and wanted to share it with you.
It is www.myjobchart.com I set up a bunch of chores for the kids to do every day or once a week. I then set up rewards for them. The kids then log on to their own page and check off their jobs. They get points for each job. Then they have a store they can go to and use their points.
Examples:
Jobs: brush teeth = 5 points
clean room = 10 points
and so on.............
You can choose jobs and points that are already on the site, or choose your own jobs and points.
Rewards: computer time...........30 points
trip to zoo .................300 points
You can choose whatever rewards you want and how many points that is needed for the reward.
The website calculates all the points and highlights the rewards they are eligible for. You can also send them little messages each day, to tell them special instructions.
I am just barely filling out the jobs and rewards, so we haven't really started yet! I hope it works. I always need a good incentive for the kids! But I am afraid that a couple of ‘certain’ kids will just get on and check off their jobs when I’m not looking! If any of you get this going before me, let me know how it is working.
