We started this Easter off with the Lindon Easter Egg Hunt. This is the one where they just throw all the eggs out on the grass. The kids line up and wait for the whistle and just race to the eggs. No hunting involved at all! (Is it just me, or does it look like the boy next to Korban, is “egging” him on, about getting to the eggs first?)
At Grandma Steele’s house, the Easter bunny just left string everywhere. This is where it started.
The string went through the whole house. The kitchen, front room, downstairs, the halls, and the sunroom. It finally lead to a single egg that had a clue in it that lead to their baskets of candy. But FIRST, we had to look up scriptures and answer questions about the Resurrection.
THEN, after going on a little scavenger hunt…..they FINALLY got their baskets of candy.
That afternoon, a bunch of grandkids went on an egg hunt in grandma’s backyard. And grandma doesn’t just hide candy. She hides MONEY! She put a couple of 10’s, some 5’s, a bunch of 1’s, and change in the eggs. And she hides them REALLY good. She actually writes down where she hides them, so she doesn’t forget. So here she is giving the kids instructions.
And they are off searchin’……………….
They all gathered at the end to count the eggs and make sure they were all found. They missed one egg. So grandma put their names in a hat and the name she pulled got the last egg. It was Ashlin and the egg had a 5 dollar bill in it. I think Mishae only found 3 eggs and ended up with $16. She stopped looking after that.
We all Love Grandma’s Easter Eggs Hunts. Thanks G-ma!
