Monte L. Bean Museum

This is the Monte L. Bean Museum in Provo, at BYU. It's a wildlife museum, and Traven's favorite thing in life. It made it all worth it, when a worker brought out live animals. She talked about different things, and then let the kids hold the animals. There was a lizard, snake and even a tarantula.
Traven waited in line more then once to hold these creatures. He loved it. I don't know if I could hold the spider. The 8 legs would give me the heeber jeepers.
Even Ashlin held the tarantula. Her face says it all. I guess she also got the heeber jeepers! I love her expression, but too bad it's out of focus. Mishae's picture is also a out of focus. But she now has proof she has held a tarantula!

When you first walk in the museum, you can pick up a paper for a scavenger hunt. There are preschool age up to advanced. That gets the kids more involved and looking for information. Traven just said he knew everything already, so he didn't do it. (what a smarty pants!)

This was towards the end. As you can tell, Kaylor was very tired of being in his stroller. That is how our adventures usually end up. (with a crying baby).

After the museum, we went to the BYU creamery, (which is the same one my parents went to ...?... years ago!) We ate our ice-cream and it ended our activity perfect.

Your Bean Museum pictures remind me of a time I was at a BYU vs.U of U football game 5 years ago and it was snowing and windy and we were sooooo cold so at half time we went and hung out in the museum checking out all the dead stuffed animals to get warm :) It was a fun memory! Isaac wants to know when Traven is going to be back? :)

I did the same thing in Victoria last weekend. I will soon have pictures on my blog to prove it.

I hope your trip is going well and that you're having a good time.
