Chad and I only dated for 2 months and engaged for 2 months. So only 4 months of actually knowing each other before we were married. Here we are 14 years later, still going strong.
We had only a year and a half by our selves, before we started our family. We have been blessed with 6 perfectly beautiful babies. Each one has brought so much joy.
The caboose, Kaylor
Having 6 children comes with many different emotions. One, would be the tears. Chad and I have dealt with plenty of tears through the years. These tearful pictures are only of Ashlin, but believe me, they all had their turn with the water works.
Before some of the tears, were the accidents. For some reason, Traven was the one with the most bumps and bruises, or he was the cause of them on the other children.
This is Traven after he got 3 of his teeth knocked out after hitting the edge of a counter. They didn't grow back for at least 5 years. Ashlin's toe being cut off was the outcome of Traven pushing our table bench over, and her toe got caught underneath. It was one of our worst accidents. I had to pick the toe up off the ground, put it in ice and head to the emergency room.
Here is another bad one. You can read about this accident
Along with the accidents, we've had plenty of pink eye, swollen skeeter bites and all kinds of colds.![]()

And there was also a surgery or two.
Bryer had a clogged tear duct and traven had a hernia surgery.
Of course there has been plenty of good times. We have had almost 70 birthdays over the last 14 years. Chad's will be number 70 on the 18th, this month.
We have been camping, and fishing, many times.
We have seen our children run away, sale hot chocolate, and paint themselves.
We have worked together on remodeling our houses, or collecting eggs.
We went on a pioneer trek that really brought us together in helping each other get through to another day.
We have seen countless of school programs or activities our children have been in.
We have cleaned up a number of all kinds of messes.
We have seen sad times and have missed each other at times we are away.
Even though the children fight, (probably once a day), there is so much love in our home. We all comfort each other and show our love in different ways.
In these last 14 years, we have stayed strong to our faith, and continue to teach our children and each other, as much as we can.
I am so thankful, and feel so blessed for all that I have been through. There has been ups and downs, but it has been a wonderful 14 years.
Happy Anniversary!
And they live happily ever after!
