Little Miss Pagaent

Last Saturday, Mishae was in the Little Miss Pagaent. It was for girls ages 11-13. For over a month, she was practicing her talent, which was singing Popular from Wicked. She did amazing. My sister made the wonderful costume for her. It was perfect. My nephew drew Elpheba and then I painted it. It all came together great. Mishae had a couple of workshops she went to and learned how to walk and answer questions for the judges. At one workshop, all the girls put together some casseroles for the homeless shelter. She made new friends and had such a great experience. The night of the pagaent, her and her friends were getting each other's hopes up to win. But her friend did, and Mishae didn't. (she totally should have!!!) But she was devastated. I felt so bad that I almost cried with her. I tried talking to her, but didn't say anything that made her feel better, so Chad went and talked with her, and he worked a miracle. He said just what she needed to hear and she was all better. Chad is so awesome. I guess he has had enough practice talking to me through my tears. But everything is all good now, and everyone is all happy. Someday, when I get the DVD of the pagaent, I'll post her talent. She really did do an outstanding job. She has a natural ability to perform. And it might be just me, but I think she is so beautiful! And thank you so much Robert for taking pictures. I love them, and they turned out great!!

PS. Mishae and I are going to see Wicked! We are so dang excited! We got the last 2 tickets! Yahoo!!!!
