Tire blowin', rainy sleepin', camp out!

I forgot to post this weekend back when it happened. Well...... I hope I didn't already blog it, or you just get to read it again. But it was around the first of May. Chad was home for the weekend, so we packed up our trailer and headed out to Elberta, Yes, I said Elberta. A woppin' 40 minutes away. While on our 40 minute journey, we had a tire blow out on our trailer. On the FREEWAY!!! Here we are on the side of the buzy road, with a big truck and trailer,....and in a construction place, (where is not under construction?) Chad gets out and takes the whole wheel off, so that we can drive off the next exit. "There are 2 wheels right together on each side, so taking one off was ok, I guess." He also called a place in that town, and asked them to stay open five more minutes. So we got to the place and had to put all 4 new tires on. (Apparently they were all bad!) Now, this trailer is a 1971, and not in that great of shape. Putting 4 brand new tires on it was about more then the whole trailer was worth. But we did it, so we could go the rest of the 20 minutes. Now, our trailer is worth $400 instead of $300. Woohoo! Well, we got to our destination, cooked up some good ol' hotdogs, road the motor bike, ate some s'mores, and sat around the fire. When it was time for bed, Chad and the kids put together some pvc pipes, put it onto the back of the truck and then put a tarp over it. That is were the boys sleep. But thank goodness he did, because it started to rain a few hours later. The other family we went with, who slept in the back of the truck without a tarp, had to get up and drive back to their house, (a few blocks away.) The next morning, we packed our WET stuff up, went to their house, (a few blocks away), and had our breakfast. Just having Chad home and doing something, even in the rain, it was a great weekend.
