Our Holiday Festivities {Steele Party}

Growing up, my family always had a different Christmas Tree each year.  It was so fun to see what they would came up.  One year, they had a lot of toddler grandkids running around, so they came up with this hanging tree, so the kids couldn’t reach it.  Well, this year, I didn’t have any floor space, so I borrowed the hanging tree.  It hung higher in my parents house, but still worked for my lack of floor space.  The best part was that it already had all the lights on it.  I just threw some poinsettias and twigs on, and it was done.  Also, it collapses down, so it doesn’t take a huge amount of storage space.

Another tradition growing up was our Christmas Eve party.  Our whole family got together to eat, act out the Nativity scene, and have a piñata.  This year, only half my family was there.  But we still had our party with the family that is still living in the state.  First we ate, then we made fruit baskets to take to an anonymous family.

We of course had our traditional piñata, which I made this year.  It was pretty much a really bad piñata!

We had a white elephant gift exchange, and I haven’t laughed so hard.  Some of the gifts were so dang funny.  I loved the reactions!  I got video, and I was serious laughing through the whole video.  It would be too embarrassing to even post it!

It’s always fun to get together with family.  I love you all!
